The golf bar's mini-golf courses have many visitors and families of all ages who enjoy mini-golf, food and drink. The golf bar has long had a strong commitment to charitable causes and when they were looking for a charity to do something extra for, the choice naturally fell on Barncancerfonden.
- We have been supporting BRIS, Children's Rights in Society, for many years. When the childhood cancer month of September now coincides with our first and last open month of the season at our facilities, it felt natural to choose the Childhood Cancer Foundation," says Hans Olofsson, founder of Golfbaren.
Throughout September, Golfbaren will donate SEK 10 per hole-in-one made by visitors to Golfbaren's five miniature golf courses in the Stockholm area. It is also possible for visitors to add their own gift to the collection for the Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation via a dedicated swish number. At the same time, Golfbaren is participating in several corporate golf competitions in September where players can donate money and win great prizes, including a so-called HIO competition for a free car for a whole year.
The Swing of Hope fundraiser will run throughout September and will end with a charity dinner on September 30 at the Swing by Golf bar, where the total amount will be revealed and handed over to the Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation via a symbolic check.
- The goal is to reach at least SEK 100,000 during September, but of course we hope for even more and that our guests help us to help, and that there will be a nice donation to the Childhood Cancer Fund in the end. The icing on the cake will be the final charity dinner when we also plan to hold an auction in favor of the collection, says Alexander Erwik, event manager at Golfbaren.
